The purpose of our study was to prepare a report for Romy Basil, the Community Initiatives Coordinator, at the Tarrant Area Food Bank. She requested that we map food deserts and areas of low income then illustrate the highest need areas, map organizations focused on hunger, and evaluate regions that could use more resources. We used information provided by the TAFB, USDA's Food Access Research Atlas, and the US Census to satisfy her requests. The group of individuals responsible for this project includes Matt Ellis, Morgan Klaas, and Jonathan Wolkowicz. We are all Geography undergraduate students at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas and are set to graduate in 2014. Below we have created a map that shows the locations of all TAFB Partner Programs focused on hunger relief. Each program has been categorized based on its service function.
